JCHD fulfills its mission statement of “Protecting the Public’s Health and Environment” through offering comprehensive public health services, including clinic services (over 6,000 unduplicated patients in FY ’09), environmental health services, all-hazards preparedness services (JCHD hosts a regional epidemiologist and regional preparedness trainer who serves 5 counties) and health education services.
